New residents are required to present valid identification in the form of a driver's license, passport, or comparable documents prior to requesting new or change in utility services.
Alternatively, if you are out-of-state or not able to visit the City Offices you can send a notarized letter to complete these services utilizing the notary to complete the identification process. Template letters can be found on the City website under New Service and Service Changes.
The City administrative and operations teams work hard to provide a high level of customer service and appreciate your patience and understanding as we seek to comply with this latest federal regulation. Click on the link below for more information on identity theft and the red flags rule.
