Pierce Park is located on Main Street, just north of Old U.S. 12 as you near the City of Chelsea downtown. Pierce Park encompasses 4.66 acres of green space that includes a large pavilion, swings, a play structure and picnic areas. Pierce Park is distinguished by a large rock, moved from the old schoolhouse site at Park and East Street that is regularly painted for local themes and events.
Like all City parks, Pierce Park is closed to the public at dusk year-round. The pavilion at Pierce Park can be reserved. Visit the Forms page of the Parks and Recreation section of this site to review the pavilion reservation policy and complete a reservation form. There is a fee for use. Unless reserved, the pavilion is ‘first come, first served’ as a public property. Metal detecting is allowed at Chelsea City parks, but please do not dig.
