Voter Registration

You can complete a voter registration form at any time. Voter Registration forms can be mailed to the City Offices, dropped in the after hours drop box, or delivered in person during normal City Office business hours. To vote in Chelsea, you must live within the City limits and be registered to vote in the district at least thirty days prior to the next election. You can also complete the registration process at any Michigan Secretary of State office.  Registered City of Chelsea residents vote at the Washington Street Education Center, 500 Washington Street.

STATE PRIMARY ELECTION - Tuesday, August 7, 2018. Last day to register is Monday, July 9, 2018. Absentee Ballots will be available  June 23, 2018.

GENERAL ELECTION - Tuesday, November 6, 2018. Last day to register is Tuesday, October 9, 2018 . Absentee Ballots will be available September 22, 2018.



Registered City of Chelsea residents vote at the Washington Street Education Center, 500 Washington St.   Polls open at 7 AM and close at 8 PM. Absentee Ballot Applications cannot be submitted more than 75 days prior to an election.
